Ya hemos avisado de que en breve saldrá el DVD de Pura Vida. Y hemos dicho que tendrá una enorme cantidad de contenidos extra. Pero no podemos aguantar el misterio, queremos anticiparos algunos de esos contenidos. Porque los hay muy interesantes. El encuentro con Miss Hawley, por ejemplo. Todos los que sabéis de montaña sabéis quien es. La única persona que, desde hace décadas, confirma que alguien ha escalado –o no- un ocho mil. Y sin salir de su casa de Katmandú. Circulan todo tipo de leyendas sobre ella. Nosotros, comos lo que nos gusta es la realidad, preferimos mostrarla tal como es: una anciana encantadora. Estuvimos con ella y nos habló de Iñaki. Se conocían y respetaban mutuamente. Hubo un momento en el que esa secuencia estaba en la película…pero no había espacio al final y con gran pena tuvimos que eliminarla. En el DVD podréis verla y disfrutar del encanto del hotel Thamel, la habitación de Iñaki y un té con Miss Hawley.

Esta entrada la escribo yo, Pablo Iraburu, el más viejo de los dos directores. Migueltxo sabe perfectamente qué significa que tengamos ya mil seguidores en Twitter. Yo no. Debe de ser algo bueno, así que desde aquí doy las gracias a cada una de esas mil personas que nos siguen y están al tanto de lo que pasa en torno a Pura Vida. Os seguiremos informando por ese canal de proyecciones, festivales y novedades varias. Estoy intentando encontrarle más enjundia a esta entrada y no lo consigo, sólo puedo pensar en que mil personas son muchas. Y que nos gustaría poder saludarlas a todas, una a una. We are going to show our movie in Poland again. This time in a beautiful festival, the Transalantyk, in Poznan. This year the festival has amazing guests. It is nice to know that Yoko Ono might watch our movie. She will receive the Transatlantyk Glocal Hero Award 2013. Good idea. But for us, mixing the words Poland and Hero has only one possible result: Robert Szymzak. He is not only one of the characters of our movie, he has also become a friend of us. It is because of him that we are specially happy with this festival. The Polish audience will find out through our movie the wonderful person that Robert is. If we had to dedicate this screenings in Polland to someone, we would do it for Maya, his new born daughter. Na zdrowie!

Tras el paréntesis sanferminero hemos vuelto al trabajo. Y tenemos bastante. En septiembre saldrá Pura Vida en DVD. No es sólo la película, es mucho más. Hemos editado un “así se hizo” lleno de material inédito. También hemos incluido en el DVD secuencias eliminadas de la película, un diario de rodaje, vídeos sobre la Fundación SOS Himalaya, piezas en memoria de Iñaki y también de Alexei Bolotov. Tenemos mucho trabajo por delante para poner todo en orden, diseñarlo bonito y ponerlo a vuestro alcance. Vamos de la mano de Cameo, el mejor compañero posible para crear y distribuir el DVD. Están tratando con mucho cariño nuestra película y nosotros estamos encantados con sus diseños, sus propuestas y su forma de trabajar. Aún nos queda bastante por hacer, pero por si acaso vamos avisando: en Septiembre, Pura Vida –y mucho más- en DVD.

After the San Fermin’s break we returned to work. And we have a lot. In september, The Ridge’s DVD will be released. And is not just the film, but much more. We have edited a making of full of unreleased material. We have also included in the DVD deleted sequences of the film, a shooting diary, videos about SOS Himalaya and clips in memory of Iñaki and Alexei Bolotov. We have a lot of work ahead to get everythinhg in order, give it a nice design and put it where you can reach it. We go hand with hand with Cameo, the best companion possible to create and distribute the DVD. They are dealing with love our film and we are delighted with their designs, proposals and their way of working. We still have a lot to do, but just in case we warning you: in September, The Ridge -and more- in DVD.

Compradlo cuanto antes, porque conforme va pasando el tiempo se le van sumando laureles de diversos festivales, para desesperación de los autores, nuestros amigos de el estudio La Franziska.
