Puede sonar surrealista, pero Don es una de esas personas que decidió hace tiempo vivir en un desierto. ¿Qué hace un alpinista en el desierto? Es curioso, pero su desierto está ubicado entre dos cordilleras de montañas de más de 4.000 metros. Bishop-EEUU, es un pequeño pueblo situado entre el Valle de la Muerte y el Valle de Owens. Las dos cordilleras que encierran Bishop son Sierra Nevada y las Montañas Blancas, en realidad uno de los mejores lugares del mundo para llevar a cabo el entrenamiento perfecto. Puedes escalar, puedes subir monte, pisar nieve, usar crampones y piolet, aclimatar… Es un paraíso para cualquier alpinista. Una vez más, rodamos con comodidad y disfrutamos con el contraste que Bishop tenía con el resto de localizaciones en las que habíamos estado, por lo general frías y nevadas. Aquí, de la mano de Don, pudimos colorear de rojo y ocre unas cuantas escenas de la película de Iñaki. Y así nos dimos cuenta que sólo nos faltaba el color verde, y precisamente el verde es lo que encontramos en nuestro último destino, y quizá el más importante de todos, Nepal y su monte Annapurna, el escenario dónde todos nuestros protagonistas se unieron con un solo objetivo: Intentar salvar la vida de Iñaki Ochoa de Olza Seguín.

It may sound surreal, but Don is one of those people who decided long time ago to live in a desert. What makes a mountaineer in the desert? It’s funny, but its desert is located between two ranges of mountains over 4,000 meters. Bishop-USA, is a small village located between Death Valley and Owens Valley. The two mountain ranges that enclose Bishop are Sierra Nevada and the White Mountains, in fact one of the best places in the world to carry out the perfect training. You can climb, hike, stepping on snow, use crampons and ice-axe, acclimatize… It is a paradise for any Mountaineer. Once again, we shot with comfort and enjoy the contrast that Bishop had with the rest of locations where we have been before, generally cold and snowy. Here in Bishop, thanks to Don, we colored in red and ochre a few scenes of the film about Iñaki´s life. And so we realized that only we lacked the green color, and precisely the green color is what we found in our last destination, and perhaps the most important of all, Nepal and his mount Annapurna, the stage where all our main characters were joined with a single goal: try to save the life of Iñaki Ochoa de Olza Seguín.
