Juanjo Garra

by purelife on May 29th, 2013

As Alexei Bolotov said “there are no rescues equal”. Because there are not lives equal. Each is unique and wonderful. Juanjo Garra’s life has gone below the summit of Dhaulagiri. From all the team of The Ridge we want to send a big hug to all his family. As many of those who read this blog, we have closely followed what happened. We have felt very close to Juanjo and our friends Simone, Ferran, Jorge y Alex. From here we express our admiration for their efforts and the efforts of everyone involved in the rescue, here and there, Sherpas and western, climbers or not. We do not know how to do what they do, we only know how to do movies. In The Ridge we try to transmit, if that’s possible, what’s in the essence live intensively mountaineering. We believe it is something that has to do with feel alive. You are increasingly asking us where can you see the film, presumably in search of some kind of response. And we want it to be watched, because that’s all we can do to help make some sense all this.
