Todo el que tenga los ojos puestos en el Everest durante esta primavera va a poder ver una de las actividades más puras que existen. Cuatro de las personas que están llevando a cabo el alpinismo más vanguardista de los últimos tiempos se dan cita en dos diferentes vertientes de la montaña más alta del mundo. Y lo que más ilusión nos hace, es saber que tres de esos cuatro alpinistas son protagonistas de Pura Vida y estuvieron involucrados en el rescate de Iñaki. Denis Urubko y Alexei Bolotov van a intentar una nueva ruta en la pared suroeste del Everest. En estilo alpino, los dos solos, mano a mano. Por la pared sur, Ueli Steck y Simone Moro van a intentar abrir otra ruta diferente. También en estilo alpino, los dos solos, mano a mano. Ueli, Denis y Alexei estuvieron muy cerca de Iñaki durante aquellos días de mayo de 2008. Simone, aunque no estuvo allí, seguro que siguió el rescate con atención ya que también era un muy buen amigo de Iñaki. Todo el equipo de Pura Vida quiere mandarles fuerza y ánimos a ambas expediciones. Y que recuerden que lo más importante como decía Iñaki, es volver todos, volver amigos y si se puede con la cima.

All those who have their eyes on the Everest during this spring are going to see one of the most pure activities in the world. Four of the people who are pursuing the most cutting-edge alpinism in recent times come together in two different faces of the world’s highest mountain. And what makes us more excited is knowing that three of the four climbers are protagonists of The Ridge and were involved in the rescue of Iñaki. Denis Urubko and Alexei Bolotov will attempt a new route on the southwest wall of Everest. In alpine style, alone together, hand in hand. On the south wall, Ueli Steck and Simone Moro will try to open another different route. Also in alpine style, alone together, hand in hand. Ueli, Denis and Alexei Iñaki were very close during those days of May 2008. Simone, although was not there, certainly followed the rescue closely as it also was a very good friend of Iñaki. The whole team of The Ridge wants to send strength and encouragement to both expeditions. And remember that the most important as Iñaki said, is to return all, return being and if you can with the peak.
